Do you ever feel like you’re on a hamster wheel, just going around and around? What would happen if you could stop the hamster wheel and jump off? When I asked a potential client this recently he said, Well, even if I could stop the hamster wheel and jump off, I’d have no idea where to start sorting all this out! That’s where investing in a coach helps because we get you to that starting point!
1. If you want to be more successful
One of the things I absolutely love about coaching is that its solution and action focused— it helps to create even more success in all areas of your life. Do you want to be even more successful in your profession? Do you want to set up your own business? Do you want to develop successful habits? Coaching is a goal-orientated process and hence, personal reflection and evaluation are an imperative part of it. It’s not just about becoming more aware of the patterns you are using but tweaking that process through trial and error to achieve the results you want.
2. If you want to build better relationships
I’ve yet to meet anyone who wouldn’t like to improve a relationship they are currently in. NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Coaching is particularly effective in building better relationships as it hones in on the relationship between the brain, the language used, and the body— how we communicate with ourselves and how we communicate and behave with others. Investing in a coach (an NLP Coach, in particular) will help to pinpoint certain patterns you use in your relationships; identify the thinking errors that are often present in these patterns and put steps in place to create more constructive patterns and processes— building better relationships.
3. If you want to create a work-life balance/ greater harmony in your life
If you had this work-life balance you dream of, what would that allow you to do? What difference would it make to your personal life, your relationships and your work? Are there things in life that you’d like to say no to? And if you said no to certain things what would you be able to say yes to? Many of the people I work with are seeking this type of balance, but we know we don’t wake up one morning and it magically happens! Work-life balance is something that we must create ourselves and that means we must take consistent decisive action to evaluate what’s not working in our lives and make the necessary changes. Coaching empowers you to create the changes you want.
4. (And a fourth to stretch ourselves that bit more!)
If you want to continue to grow personally and professionally-
When was the last time you made time to sit down and consider what you want to achieve personally and professionally? How have you invested in your personal and professional growth recently? What action are you taking to continue to grow both personally and professionally? It’s important to know what you want in life because once you know what you want then you can work with your coach to identify the path you can take and the resources, skills, and tools you will need to get there. Investing in ourselves is incredibly important for our self-worth and coaching focuses on developing personal and professional excellence.
